Nice to hear that
you’re spending time with HIStory. It’s not ever gonna be everyone’s fav Michael
album and I get that. Thanks for remembering and acknowledging that it’s mine
We all take away different experiences, perspectives and lessons from
Michael’s work. That one just speaks to me on a level that won’t let me let it
go and demands a personal response from me that I cannot, and will not, ignore.
Some of the songs are
not at all easy to listen to because the truth in his words and his honest, raw
emotions can make one uneasy, unsettled and just plain angry and sad. That album
is Michael’s gift to humanity and it’s a wake up call to change. Now.
PS: I usually cry
through most of the album (for varying reasons) so you’re not alone there. And I
still can’t listen to “Little Susie”. That music freaks me out
